ABS brake light came back on and check engine light is back on again too.

Right front passenger tire when you apply the brakes it is grabbing now per Jeremy Huggins.

Vehicles / COT STRAPS

We need the proper cot straps and something for the chest so the straps don't slip down the sides of the cot.  There is no way to hold the straps on the patient securely over the shoulder area, per Joe Villers.

Opening the back doors is very important.  I was in an incident about six months ago, where the patient became combative, biting me and attempted to hit me.  I could not get out the back door, so I kicked it open to get away from the patient.  I hope no one else encounters a problem like this one.

Ray:

I have read this and understand.  Joe Villers also read this too.

I am not getting any emails from you at all.  I had to find out second handed that this was being done.

Public Comment / Re: Pine Grove Appreciation

I have received many compliments for WCEMS when I have been out in the public eye, especially Wal-mart.  I believe we all should, on duty or not, be positive towards our workplace.  I know after working a 24 hour shift the last place I am going to be positive is Wal-mart or any other retail store so I just DON'T GO.  I will make sure when I do go out in the public eye I am happy and smiling.  You do not know who is watching you, it could be that patient that you picked up last week.  You may not remember them but they will remember you, trust me!  Mary Kay has taught me alot these past two years, and thank God I found Mary Kay!!!

Policies / Re: Proposed 911 Dispatch Procedure for Pine Grove Area

I know this is not Tyler County but there we are either in service or not.  But, here is the difference.  If say Sistersville EMS were dispatched for a call to Middlebourne and Middlebourne EMS were out of service I would still know there was a call because I ALWAYS WEAR MY PAGER!!  I would, and have, first responded.  Now luckily Middlebourne EMS has not been out of service but it could happen.  My point is Folsom is dispatched on Fire Frequency and we do not hear the page if we are wearing our pagers.  If the call is in Pine Grove and say Richard were in Pine Grove but out of service cause he did not have a driver, Folsom should be dispatched but also 50's tones should be dropped for First Response.  That way the patient is receiving care promptly.  It all boils down to patient care and I think we all believe that this is our major concern.
